** THIS ITEM HAS NOW SOLD ** This metal olive green strong box has some wonderful Victorian lettering on the front of the owners name; Lawrence Steedman, from Larbert ( which is in the Falkirk area). It has riveted hinges and is a light salmon colour inside. The top has a small brass carrying handle typical of the period. We have carried out a limited search online and this reveals some more interesting information in relation to Mr Steedman, and we recommend you have a wee search yourself so you can read about a legal dispute involving rather large sums of money at that time. Who knows.....maybe this strong box held some of the cash ! Size approximately W 29 cm x H 20 cm & D 24cm.
